I have been wrestling for a while one what to write about the two finalists of a sauna endurance competition in Finland, one of which was killed and another who is still in hospital.

Part of me wants to mention the extraordinary safety record of saunas and talk about the health benefits when used correctly. I would hate to see people not use a sauna because of what happened.

Part of me wants to ask how this happened. I know that many of our commercial clients will educate their staff to ensure that proper and correct advice is given to sauna bathers. Education is so important for people using the sauna to get the best out of it.

But perhaps I should just say that this is a sad event, and our wishes are with the families of these two men.
