Really good to really great
On Environmental issues, our standard saunas are good in fact we could argue the best on the market. But we didn't rest there. We have taken something which is really good and made it really great.
Environmental awareness is at the very heart of Klafs cabins which is why we produce really good saunas that quite simply knock spots of our competitors. So just what is so good about our standard sauna cabins?
For a start, our specialist wall and ceiling construction provides tight and secure joints retaining maximum levels of heat within the cabin. Couple this with triple layered sandwich construction which provides the highest level of thickness and best possible thermal insulation.
Glass elements are 10mm and double glazed as standard helping to retain heat within the cabin keeping the external pane cool to the touch.
We dual monitor temperatures within the cabin both above the heater and at the far side of the cabin. Why? To ensure safety, even temperature distribution and accurate monitoring. All combining to provide efficient use of energy resources.
We may also have mentioned that our wood is sourced from sustainably managed forests but it is an important fact. Sustainability starts at the beginning with raw materials and our commitment continues through to construction and integrated technologies.
So if our cabins are so good as standard why go further?
Klafs are constantly working to offer further optional benefits both to you and the environment. We want to deliver beyond expectation utilising all the resources at our disposal. Our GREEN SAUNA package certainly does just that.
Most cabin heat loss is via ventilation with doors opened regularly and the requirement of hourly air exchanges. Couple this with transmission of heat through the ceiling and there is an impact both on the environment and the wallet.
Opening and closing of doors is one area which of course cannot be managed but air exchange is something that we have carefully researched. Klafs Climate Manager is the answer. This sophisticated sensor technology monitors air quality and exchanges air only as and when required. More bathers mean more regular exchange of fresh air is needed so by monitoring air supply, exchange takes place only when necessary. Not too often, not too little meaning that the environment in and out of the cabin is as healthy as it possibly can be.
Transmission of heat through the ceiling is unavoidable to a certain degree and although our standard sauna offers great protection against heat loss, we wanted to go a little further. Our specially produced ECOPLUS thermal ceiling coupled with specialist ventilation retain heat levels within the cabin for longer periods of time. Better for the bather and better for the environment.
Lighting an empty cabin is an additional waste of energy so our technology switches on lights only when the cabin is occupied. All at the touch of the Green Sauna button.
